Day 1: Real Life Examples
A Prayer Request Hookup that WORKS!
“Hi. First off, thank you for being willing to pray for me. There’s a lot happening in my life right now — a lot of healing, chains being broken, and restoration.
It feels awesome, but I sometimes let the enemy whisper that it’s not of God… or that it won’t last. But it feels real.
I pray constantly these days, and for whatever reason, things have just been smooth.
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve started bringing Him into every decision, or maybe it’s just obedience and right timing — but things feel like they’re headed up.
Can you pray with me that as blessings come, the general trajectory remains that way? And that when tests come, we see them for what they are and continue taking them to God accordingly?
I’m learning it’s not always about knowing the next step or even being prepared for it — it’s about trusting that no matter what comes, He’s still with me… like He’s always been.
Right now, I just need prayer warriors willing to stand with us and believe — no matter what — that God’s got us all.”
That was my prayer request for the day — sent through Seedling, a prayer app that connects believers for real, raw faith-based community. And listen… it worked.
Because not even 24 hours later, everything shifted.
Family, Faith & Tough Conversations
We told our families today.
We solidified our decision to be together — marriage, moving in, all of it.
I was nervous and cautious, but mostly excited… until I talked to my parents.
Their version of support has always carried a little doubt. It’s in the tone, the phrasing — and today, I just didn’t have the energy for it. I needed solutions, not subtle skepticism.
And I know he’s going through it too. His approach seems to be to just ignore it — but what do you do when you can’t ignore it anymore?
When indecisiveness starts ruining your peace?
When you make a choice, it doesn’t go how you imagined, but you know you’ve learned your lesson?
What do you do when the outcome looks the same, but the variables are totally different?
Do you trust your flight response — the one that’s protected you this far — or do you trust your gut telling you to stay, even when everything external is trying to convince you otherwise?
Call it Adam & Eve, Choosing Love Anyway
I think of Adam and his choice to stay with Eve — to take the bite, knowing separation from his Father might follow.
Did he have the same split second of questioning I feel now?
I don’t know what the future holds. I just know this: I’ll be standing beside him every day going forward.
Truth, Trust & Trying Again
Six months ago, we went through something.
The ripple effects have been showing up ever since.
Jesus, keep us near the cross.
The words “I gotta tell you something” have rarely led to good news for me… and this time was no different — except for one thing: truth.
He told me everything. Openly. Honestly.
We talked. We listened. We decided that we matter more.
So, what now?
We were told to expect the Love/Hate Cycle — to be okay with it, even embrace it.
To let it open doors of communication instead of walls of silence.
It may seem impossible, but nothing beats a failure but a try.
And we’re trying.
The Ones Who Earned Me
The difference between the people still in my life and those I remember fondly is simple:
they learned me — and they earned me.
He did too. Slowly. Painfully.
At a time when I didn’t even know how to like somebody.
Toxic at its finest — hidden under survival.
Because that’s all I knew: how to survive.
But something’s pulling me out of survival mode.
Now I have to ask myself… am I the thing holding us back?
Is it my unbelief — in myself, in love, in what God promised me so many years ago?
Because I have what He promised.
Now I just have to believe I deserve it.
I believe.
This is more.
This is different.
This is abundance.
Amen.
Day One — Done.
IN THREE DAYS…
I’ve heard of several “3-Day Rules.”
There’s the one that says to wait three days before calling someone you’re interested in.
Another that says by day three, you should finally meet up in person.
But the one that stands out to me most is the one involving God.
A preacher once said it takes three days to truly process anything.
If you spend those three days praying and seeking guidance, you’ll have an answer — or at least peace — by the end of day three.
Here’s How It Works
Day 1: Talk to God. Lay it all out. Speak as if you’re talking to your Father. Be honest — no filters.
Day 2: Talk to Jesus (Yeshua, your big brother). Ask for intercession. Speak to Him like family — because He is.
Day 3: Talk to the Holy Spirit. Ask for calm, peace, understanding, and clarity.
By following this rhythm, you give yourself room to process and space to receive.
If you don’t have your answer by the third day, you’ll at least have peace while you wait for it.
Sometimes, it’s about the answer.
Other times, it’s about distance from the problem.
Either way, you’ll feel better on Day Three than you did on Day One.
Faith in Motion
In Genesis 1:1–13, God set the world in motion in three days.
He created light, divided the waters, and called forth the land.
Then He gave Himself someone to love, gave us an instruction manual for life, and sent an example of how to get it right — even when we get it wrong.
If that’s not a parent’s love, I don’t know what is.
So let’s follow His example.
Let’s take the time to set the atmosphere for our world — making sure our perspective aligns with what’s meant to be.
Whether you believe in destiny, divine order, or creating your own path, one truth remains:
there are steps between where you are and where you want to be.
Why not ask Him to help you take them?
#PULSECHECK 1
Let’s practice.
Write down everything that bothered you today — from the biggest frustration to the smallest annoyance.
Get it all out on paper.
Then… wait three days before reacting.
You might realize it wasn’t as bad as it seemed.
Because the first step in any change is talking to God. Fully. Honestly. Without filters.
This process isn’t about fixing everything overnight — it’s about taking a breath, acknowledging your emotions, and giving God space to move.
Try This Example
“Lord, today I lay it all before You. The fear, the doubt, the frustration, and the excitement.
Thank You for being patient with me as I learn to trust You more.
Teach me to release what I can’t control, and help me see You in the waiting.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Welcome to Day One.
You’ve officially started the journey — one prayer, one conversation, one stretch at a time.
